Rodney Bushman
Rodney Bushman - Chair

Mr. Bushman was born and raised in the small northern California community of Gridley. He has been a Kearns resident since 1977 and was elected to the Kearns Improvement District Board of Trustees in 1998. He served on the Kearns Improvement District Blue Ribbon Committee which studied the best steps to undertake the current backyard sewer line project.

Mr. Bushman received his Bachelors Degree in Business Education and Masters Degree in Business Education, Administration and Management from BYU. He spent his first two years of teaching in southern Utah taking the state’s mobile marketing unit to ten high schools. He moved to Kearns High School in 1977 where he teaches business and marketing classes.

Mr. Bushman married Christine in 1975 and they have six children.

Royce Gibson
Royce Gibson - Vice Chair

Mr. Gibson grew up in Kearns and graduated from Kearns High School where he was a Sterling Scholar and K-Crest recipient. He also graduated from the University of Utah. He has served on the Kearns Improvement District Board of Trustees since 1986.

Mr. Gibson was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District Board of Trustees representing the Kearns and Magna areas.

Mr. Gibson currently works for the Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center as Dryland Manager. He volunteers time in the scouting programs, serves on a credit union board of directors, and sits on the advisory board for the Academy of Finance. He is also a member of ChamberWest, and serves as Vice-Chair of the Leadership West Committee for the Chamber.

Mr. Gibson married Dawn Hatch in 1976 and has five children.

Kelly Record
Kelly Record - Clerk

Mr. Record grew up in Kearns and graduated from Granger High School. He served his country by serving three years in the United States Army. He returned to the Kearns community in 1997 and has served in numerous community roles such as member of the Kearns Town Council and member of the Kearns Township Planning and Zoning Committee. He has also been a member of ChamberWest.

Mr. Record is retired but is still active in our Community. He currently serves on the Kearns Recreation Board of Advisors Committee.

Mr. Record married Kaye (Henline) in 1966; they have five children and five grandchildren.  He and his wife have been foster parents for over 20 years.
